Copywriting is only a step

By Daniel Dessinger · Thursday, September 6th, 2007

There are some career copywriters out there, who can make some seriously good money after 5-10 years of experience. I’m not throwing out the possibility of copywriting long-term, but it’s not the goal.

Long term, the goal is to write a collection of stories and other topical books that I think are sorely needed.

Copywriting was simply the most strategic career I could think of to hone my writing style and prepare myself for the first book. I’ll post updates on this blog as we move along. I have several ideas for books, and the issue is committing to one idea long enough to put a book together. Or I have to attempt to be a badass like Thomas Acquinas and write half a dozen books at the same time.

No promises on that one.
